There are shelves of books on adolescence, but in this torrent of words and theories little is relevant to what therapists see in the troubled adolescents that come, or are brought, or even dragged to them for help. Worse yet, therapists can find almost no practical advice on how they can resolve the problems of the disturbed youths whom they wish to help. This book seeks to bridge the chasm between the written word on the one hand and meaningful theory and helpful action on the other.
