Abstract

Behavior therapy has had a short history but a long past. This diverse field has developed as a result of the contribution of the early logical positivists in philosophy, the early learning theorists, the social learning and cognitive theorists, and the physiologists as well. In fact, the roots of behavior therapy have evolved from five separate directions in psychology.
