Abstract

Use has been made of monoclonal antibodies (MAb’s) that appear to recognize all or part of the T-cell receptor, features of which are discussed. We have devised a new approach to receptor specificity investigation, and encountered problems that are discussed. We consider the contribution of α and β chains to T-cell specificity, and the expression of T-cell receptors on thymocytes.
