Abstract

The analysis of the immunochemical properties of four members of the A48 idiotypic pathway, viz. A48-β2-6 fructosan-binding monoclonal protein (Ab1) and polyclonal syngeneic Ab’s — anti-Id (Ab2), anti(anti-Id) (Ab3) and anti[anti(anti-Id)] (Ab4) — showed that Ab1 and Ab3 shared A48 idiotypes while both Ab2 and Ab4 bound to Ab1.
