Activity of Rat Hippocampal Neurones Related to Performance of a Recognition Memory Task

Abstract

Lesions disrupting the hippocampal region produce impairments of recognition memory. Single unit activity has been recorded from the hippocampal region of the rat during learning and performance of a visual recognition memory task (delayed matching to sample).
