Intramolecular Reversible Addition Reactions to the C=O Group

  • Raimonds E. Valters
  • Wilhelm Flitsch

Abstract

Ring-chain isomeric interconversions proceeding by intramolecular reversible addition reactions to the double bond of the C=O group have been well studied, particularly as regards γ- and δ-aldehydo- and keto-carboxylic acids (3- and 4-acylcarboxylic acids) and their derivatives (see Refs. [1–3]).
