Abstract

This book has attempted to bring together in a cohesive whole some of the recent work that has been, and continues to be, done in transsexualism and gender identity. As the reader has seen, it covers many diverse aspects of cross-gender wishes and behavior, and it illustrates the wide variety of opinions held by different authors and the approaches employed in different disciplines.
