The present paper deals with new (i.e. newly defined) loci recognized in the HLA complex: (1) we will outline the general approach which in our experience has been the most successful for identifying reagents for new loci, (2) we will discuss the recently recognized class II locus SB/PL3 and (3) we will discuss a new class I locus (or maybe better: class IV locus), TCA, possibly located within HLA as well.
