Concepts of Protobiological Evolution: Their Implications on Natural Selection and Time-Course of Evolution

This paper is addressed to the development of certain concepts in pre- and protobiological* evolution. Such elucidation sheds light not only on the origin of life but also brings new insight to general principles of evolution such as the nature of natural selection and the time-course of evolutionary change.
