Concerns about safety are part of life. Success depends on anticipation: From the all-too-well-known “drive defensively” in the “battleground” of the highways, to a good game of chess, to the intricate state of preparedness in the cold war, safety—and thus success of survival—depends upon our ability to anticipate future challenges and be ready with an adequate response.
