The incorporation of 15N-glycine into uric acid was studied three times in one gouty patient in an interim of 19 years. The objective of repeated studies was to see the effects of long-term therapy, aging, and changing life style on the nature of the metabolic aberration of uric acid metabolism in gout using 15N-glycine.
