Abstract

Alcoholism is one of the most frequent causes of workers’ disability in the Socialist Republic of Croatia and in Yugoslavia. In our study we tried to determine how many workers’ alcoholics were properly treated for alcoholism before they retired from work. The study was carried out during the year 1980 among 165 subjects medically examined in the Internal Medicine Department of the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health in Zagreb.
