The Proposal

  • Judith B. Margolin

Abstract

As I stated at the outset of this book, far too much attention is, in my opinion, paid to the proposal. Since the most valuable use of any grant seeker’s time is finding the right funding source, I would like to suggest that you view the proposal as a natural outgrowth of the research you have done identifying potential funders and learning as much as possible about funders’ grant-making policies and preferred procedures for application. If you have done this homework thoroughly, your proposal will seem to write itself.
