Radical Chemistry in Sooting Flames

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is (1) to review our knowledge on radical chemistry leading to soot precursors, and (2) to use this knowledge to give a quantitative explanation of measured concentration profiles of some higher hydrocarbons in sooting acetylene flames.
