Abstract

The New England Food Co-op (NEFCO) is a warehouse owned and run by more than a hundred consumer-food cooperatives in New Hampshire, eastern Massachusetts, and southern Maine. The warehouse buys grains, cheeses, produce, and other products by the truckload; stores them; and resells them to member co-ops at a small markup.
