Pathology of Cytomegalovirus Infection
The history and practice of the pathology of CMV infection is dominated by cytomegaly, the large giant cells with type A intranuclear inclusions (Cowdry, 1934). The classical pathology of C.I.D. is well described in standard texts, particularly Seifert and Oehme (1957), and will not be repeated in detail.
