Comments on Creep of Reaction-Bonded Silicon Nitride and Hot-Pressed Silicon Carbide

In recent years studies concerning creep of reaction-bonded silicon nitride (RBSN) (1) and different silicon carbide materials (2) and the production and high-temperature properties of hot-pressed silicon nitride (HPSN) (3) were made in our institute. The early results were partly published at the Newport-conference (4) and elsewhere, e.g. (5,6,7). Some comments on creep were given during this conference relating to material parameters and properties of RBSN and hot-pressed silicon carbide (HPSC) discussed in other conference papers.
