A General Transformation System of Dipole Geoelectrical Sounding into Schlumberger’s as an Approach to the Inversion

Abstract

A synthesis of recent studies on the transformation of electrical dipole sounding curves into equivalent Schlumberger curves is given. The transformation is here considered as a powerful mean for attempting quantitative interpretation of generally noise degraded field dipole curves, obtained over arbitrary underground structures.
