Theoretical Basis of an Ultrasonic Investigation Method of Stratified Absorbing Media

This paper is devoted to the extension of Jones’ ultrasonic impediography to absorbing media. We show that this extension leads to a new technique which allows to reach two parameters: the acous tic impedance profile (generalization of Jones’ impediography), and the dissipative parameter profile
