Abstract
The steady state photocurrent and optical properties of amorphous GeSe2 films has been investigated under the influence of continuous laser irradiation. A medium intensity (1.4 – 2.7 kW/cm2) is found where a low frequency (3–50 Hz) periodic pulsation in the transmitted light and the photocurrent sets in. A model for light induced absorption oscillation is presented based on the bistable local bonding geometry of the amorphous network.
