On Dynamical Symmetries in Relativistic Field Theories

Abstract

One observes that fermions appear in fundamental strong electromagnetic and weak interactions in some towers
$$\psi = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {{\psi _1}} \\ \vdots \\ {{\psi _n}} \end{array}} \right)$$
where ψ k, k = 1, ..., n are Dirac spinors. This is the case of the nucleon tower for Yukawa interactions, the electron-meson μ tower in the case of electromagnetic interactions, the electron-neutrino tower for Weinberg-Salam interactions and recently the u-d-s-c-b-t quark tower in the case of quark-gluon interactions.
