Vinyl Chloride

Abstract

Vinyl chloride is used in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride plastics, and was formerly employed as a refrigerant. Its use in the U.S. has been stringently regulated since workers handling the compound were found to have high incidences of angiosarcoma.
