Three general themes emerge from these papers. The first is the very distinct emphasis on the importance of more information regarding the nature of schizophrenic psychopathology, and the use of this information in designing appropriate therapeutic interventions. We are currently witnessing the beginnings of a greater use of data on the nature of psychopathology in schizophrenia in the context of treatment.
