Structural Analyses of HLA-DR Antigens

There has been considerable progress in the characterization of HLA-DR antigens even though these human counterparts of murine and guinea pig Ir gene products were identified only a few years ago. The information available at present concerning the biological, chemical, and structural properties of HLA-DR antigens can be summarized as follows (for a review, see Ferrone et al., 1978).
