Tolerance Analysis for Phased Arrays

The effects of phase and amplitude quantization, random and periodic errors, channel to channel crosstalk, and missing radiators upon the line response of a phased array imaging system are discussed. A tolerance analysis is developed that allows the design engineer to evaluate the effects of those errors and to set limits as to their maximum allowable magnitudes.
