Immobilized Penicillin Acylase for Production of 6-Apa From Penicillin-V

Abstract

6-APA (6-aminopenicillanic acid) is the well-known β-lactam nucleus needed for production of semisynthetic penicillins. It is produced from natural penicillins, such as penicillin-G and penicillin-V, either chemically or enzymatically.
