The Quantitative Description of the Viscoelastic Properties of Human Blood

Recently, various authors 1–6 have shown that human blood is a viscoelastic material. The viscoelastic properties were conveniently measured by oscillatory tests1–5 or by stability tests in circular Couette flow6.
