Kinetics and Morphology of Aggregation of Red Cells: Preparations for the Nasa Spacelab

Experiment MPS77F113, scheduled for NASA Space Lab 3, has as its objective to study aggregation and kinetic of aggregation of red cells under near-zero gravity. In the years 1978 and 1978 it was possible to construct the instrument required (parallel-plate slit-capillary viscometer, equipped with cameras and a microscope) for such a study; furthermore, it was possible to carry out preliminary experiments to to obtain a background information on aggregation of red cells, their kinetics and morphology under 1 gravity condition.
