Abstract

The rheological properties of epoxy formulated polymers are directly related to the reaction cure dynamics, flow, gas-liquid transport, and laminant consolidation. However, epoxy formulations are not simple newtonian fluids. They require proper evaluation of instrumental test parameters to define an appropriate linear response conditions. This paper presents how the test conditions are derrived and illustrates the application of rheological measurements to evaluate composite manufacturing processes.
