Quantitative Investigations of Orientation Development in Vitryfying Deforming Polymer Melts with Application to Processing

  • J. L. White

The state of orientation and morphology in polymer products formed from the melt has long been known to depend upon kinematics and cooling conditions immediately prior to solidification. The authors and their coworkers have carried out extensive investigations of vitrification and crystallization of deforming polymer melts during the past several years. Here we discuss investigations of vitrifying polymers.
