Citation Counts for Tables

The Science Citation Index1 has been employed to estimate the numbers of users of mass tables and other data cattpilations in the atomic and nuclear fields. Although the number of citations of a paper is not a true measure of the number of users (especially in the case of tables), nevertheless, it is the only objective, international criterion of use which is presently available.
