Engineering Aspects of Dresden Unit 1 Chemical Cleaning
Dresden Unit 1 is the first privately financed nuclear power reactor to be built in the United States. Dresden 1 began commercial power operation in April, 1960. It is a General Electric designed dual-cycle boiling water reactor with a thermal power of 700 MWt and a design electrical output of 207 MWe. The primary system consists almost entirely of 304 stainless steel.
