Decontamination of the Hanford N-Reactor in Support of Continued Operation

Abstract

N-Reactor is a graphite moderated, light water cooled, horizontal pressure tube pressurized water reactor operated by UNC Nuclear Industries for the United States Department of Energy (DOE). The reactor has two functions, producing plutonium for DOE and byproduct steam used for generating 860 MWE by the Washington Public Power Supply System Hanford Generating Project.
