Scattering of Radiation by a Large Particle with a Rough Surface
The scattering of radiation by a large particle bounded by a rough surface is treated. The surface roughness is represented by a slope distribution function. Since surface roughness causes multiple reflections of incident light, multiple scattering theory is applied to obtain the reflected intensity. It is shown that experimental results are well explained by this model.
