I do not recall the circumstances under which the following paper was written; but for some time it remained unpublished, in mimeographed form, until I received a request for a brief manuscript from the editor of the Journal of Psychological Researches, which is sponsored by the Madras (India) Psychology Society. The manuscript was accepted for publication and appeared in the January, 1970, issue of this periodical (14, 1–3).
