Abstract

Although deterioration of the cardiovascular system has been the most obvious consequence of circulatory shock, the factors contributing to the circulatory collapse are complex (20). Recently, the liver has been recognized as a critical organ in the pathogenesis and metabolism, serving as a biological filter to the blood returning to the heart (23).
