Preparing the Subject for Induction

  • Don E. Gibbons

Abstract

A comfortable place should be provided for the subject to sit or to recline during the trance session, and the environment in which the induction is to be carried out should be as free as possible from distracting noises and interruptions. Subjects wearing contact lenses may wish to remove them if it would make them uncomfortable to keep their eyes closed for a prolonged period without doing so. It is generally desirable to avoid complete privacy during the trance session, particularly if the subject is female.
