Abstract

In 1950, Immanuel Velikovsky’s controversial book Worlds in Collision appeared and became a best seller. This book offered a new and dramatic version of the earth, its people, and its history based on cosmic events, the most vivid of these being a near collision of Venus with earth about 3500 years ago.
