Abstract

The study of π° photoproduction from light nuclei is a way to obtain information about the γp → pπ° and γn →nπ° elementary amplitudes, although near threshold the production of a virtual π±and its scattering with charge exchange on another nucleon is expected to be of the same order of magnitude as the direct process.
