The Unified Description of Direct and Resonance Processes in the Radiative Pion Capture by Light Nuclei
Developing the idea of the unified description of direct and resonance mechanisms of nuclear disintigration by high-energy particles1, we have calculted the spectrum dR/dE of hard γ-rays in the 16O(π−,γn)15N reaction in a 1p-1h continuum shell-model version2. The pion capture from the mesoatomic s- and p-orbits has ’been taken into account. In Fig. 1 the calculated spectrum folded with a Breit-Wigner shape is compared with the available experimental data3.
