Abstract
I would like to ask Dr. Plaut two things. It was reported many years ago that secretory IgA is composed of about 80% of IgA2 molecules. Is this true and does it mean then, that your enzyme could at best, destroy one-fifth of s-IgA? Do individuals infected with this enzyme-producing mircroorganism form neutralizing antibodies against this enzyme? Have you tried to induce antibodies yourself?
