Abstract
Static dielectric measurements on the ferroelectric crystal KH2PO4 (KDP) at pressures to 3 kbar indicate a tricritical point at 2.4±0.2 kbar. The exponent δ at this pressure agrees well with the value of 5 obtained from mean-field theory for the tricritical exponent.
