Methods in Basic Laboratory Immunology - Workshop Summary
As part of a post congress program for the International Congress of the RES a “traveling” workshop devoted to laboratory aspects of basic immunology was presented. By means of such a workshop a forum was provided for a free and searching discussion of current methodologies concerning the involvement of the RE System in various aspects of immunity, including resistance to infectious agents, tumors, etc. Participants in this Workshop were those attending the Congress who wished to participate in the three day tour of the “Basque Country” of Northern Spain. Fifty participants of the Congress, including spouses and family participated in the three day tour, which included visits to several exciting cities in Northern Spain. Each morning the scientific participants had a “round table” discussion of various aspects of laboratory immunology. In addition, one evening session was held and many of the discussions continued on the bus and during meals.
