Local PO2 and O2-Consumption in the Isolated Sciatic Nerve

Local oxygen pressure can be measured by means of Ptmicro-needle electrodes and this gives information about oxydative tissue metabolism. Under special conditions local oxygen consumption in tissue can be estimated with this technique too.
