In the few papers written by reason of theoretical statements to the concentration microtopography of glucose and O2 in the intercapillary region of tumor tissue, especially from THEWS [1 J and, somewhat later, VAUPEL [2], it is assumed that substrate consumption remains constant up to the periphery of the considered cylindrical space around the capillary, i. e. within the socalled KROGH’s cylinder.
