Abstract

Efforts to standardize the reporting of Mössbauer data are reviewed, including work on the velocity calibration of spectrometers and on isomer shift standards with respect to iron, tin, iodine, and other Mössbauer nuclides. Suggestions are made concerning nomenclature and conventions for reporting Mössbauer effect data.
