Bacampicillin in Respiratory Tract and Urinary Tract Infections
Bacampicillin is a new antibiotic within the amino penicillin group. Studies in both animals and human volunteers have shown that ampicillin is quickly liberated as an antibacterially active metabolite after absorption. Compared to oral ampicillin, bacampicillin in an equimolar dose gives considerably higher serum and urinary concentration of active antibiotic.
