Abstract

Ampicillin in one or two doses or in combination with probenicid is an established effective mode of treatment of acute, uncomplicated anogenital gonorrhoea (Eriksson, 1971; Bro-Jørgensen and Jensen, 1971). The present study is an evaluation of a new type of administration, the so-called genococktail, which is a mixture of 3.5g of ampicillin and lg probenicid, as a treatment of acute, uncomplicated gonorrhoea in males and females.
