The United States Navy, Bureau of Aeronautics, requires a liquid oxygen dewar for servicing aircraft which is equipped with liquid oxygen breathing systems. It was desired that the dewar design be suitable for:
  1. 1)

    Aircraft carrier deck servicing

  2. 2)

    Air transport on an external bomb rack of a tactical aircraft for emergency transportation of liquid oxygen

  3. 3)

    Shore station servicing
