Some Comments on the Effects of Malnutrition on Brain Function

For the record, I would like to commend Mr. Kittay, his Foundation, and its Board for their recognition of psychiatry as an important dimension of medicine. I understand that the Foundation is specifically focused on psychiatry per se and that their interest in malnutrition is somewhat secondary. However, they are clearly aware of the important long-range potential effects of malnutrition on the psychiatric dimensions of life. Furthermore, I would like to congratulate all of the speakers for their fine contributions to the meetings.
